“Shall we get going then?” Jeff asked.
That night, I checked my watch. 11:32.
“Come on.” I said.“An adventure awaits us.”
After about 20 minutes, we arrived at the museum, now all dark and spooky. I walked over to the front
door and stood in front of the automatic doors. The doors remained shut.
“Really?” Jeff said behind me, and I rolled my eyes as I turned to him.
“You find a way to go in if you’re so clever. Go on.” I glared at him, and he shrugged and walked off to
find an entrance.
Jeff pointed upwards, and about 3 meters above us was an open window.
“Oh my gosh! Are you kidding me?” Lizzy whispered angrily.
“It’s not as hard as it seems… look.”
Jeff climbed up the ladder, wrapped his legs around the pipe fluently and slid through the window with

“Then, we run.” Jeff grinned cheekily.
I looked around, blocking out Oliver’s bickering and Jeff ’s silent chuckles. At one point, I thought I saw
someone run past us a few rows down, but when I turned to look, no one was there.
After several minutes, I felt someone staring at me through the statues. I looked around again, making sure
Jeff, Oliver and Lizzy were close before reaching my head above the shoulders of the tall statues and
looking behind me.
Jeff and Lizzy must’ve felt it as well, because they also turned to look behind their backs, but of course, we
saw nothing.
“You felt it as well?” Lizzy asked.
“Felt what?” Oliver asked back, seemingly oblivious.
“The stares.” Jeff murmured.
I only nodded. That’s odd… I’m pretty sure it was just my imagination, but how can three of us feel the
same thing if it was just an imagination?
Oliver suddenly stopped.“Hey, shhh… listen.”We stopped.At first, we couldn’t hear anything.Then,
slowly, as if on crescendo, I heard the sound of heavy metal clanking against the hard concrete floors.
“Jeff, we have to go!” I shouted, looking over my shoulder to see what he was staring at. Instead of the stiff
