forehead as anxiety clouded his mind.The door to Emperor Qin’s room creaked loudly, as its rusty hinges
were put to work. Suddenly, the robed figure these 2 men saw earlier jumped out behind the door. Hand
wielding a sharp, deadly dagger.“Move out!” yelled Xiang as he pushed Emperor Qin to safety.The
dagger sliced right through the wooden column behind Xiang.A loud thud could be heard as 2 ends of
the column split apart and fell to the ground. Emperor Qin stared wide-eyed at the wreckage, fear
coursing through his mind.The robed assassin turned his attention towards Emperor Qin, who was lying
helplessly on the ground.With a grunt, he tossed the dagger, aiming at the Emperors throat… …
“D-Don't.. ..Let me die in v-vain.. ..” croaked Emperor Qin as blood seeped through his shirt.Tears
streamed down Xiang’s eyes, tainting carpet under him.“I will create the grandest funeral for you, your
majesty” replied Xiang “You will feel safe in the afterlife, I promise”The last moments of the emperor
drifted by, as Xiang recalled the horrifying scene of the assassin. He remembered that the assassin threw
the dagger, scratched a number 12 down on the wall, and vanished through the window.A mystery that
may never be solved
