YoungWriters Awards
P3, the publisher of
Playtimes
magazine,
has now finished accepting submissions!
The submission process has ended, it is now time for the judges to assess and review all your
wonderful entries. The team is amazed at how many written, artistic, and digital pieces have been
submitted this year for ‘New Tales of the Pearl River Delta’.
Thank you to all the teachers from schools around Hong Kong, Macau and China that managed
the process so well. The HKYWA team also wants to thank every student that is taking part and
every parent that is encouraging their child’s creative efforts.
In February, Nury Vittachi will be assessing every written entry. After the shortlist is decided, our
sponsors will be sent the chosen works to select this year’s grand prize winners.
Faber-Castell has renewed its commitment to be the title and sole prize sponsor of the ‘Cover Art’
categories. The prestigious company will carefully consider all of the art pieces to decide on which
work best represents the theme and deserves a place on the front cover of the 2015 anthology.
This year, students have the opportunity to be the first ever winners of the Digital Storytelling and
Digital Publishing categories. We are very excited to review the entries in collaboration with SCAD
and Booktrack.
The top 100 students will be presented with fantastic prizes, trophies and certificates at the
HKYWA awards ceremony on April 29th, 2015. This is a great opportunity for any aspiring writer,
film maker or artist to gain recognition amongst some of the top industries in Hong Kong. The top
100 entries will be published in the HKYWA 2015 Anthology as a proud and lasting reminder of their
creative brilliance.
