hile we are
blessed by Pok
Fu Lam’s many
beautiful green paths to
hike up, at times it is too hot
or polluted on the roads,
so we dip in the pool – it’s a
fun family activity everyone
enjoys. –

K
eeping healthy and
fit is very important,
but since we don’t
have time for
exercise, we eat more fruits
and vegetables and less
carbs or desserts. –
Ati
W
hilst we don’t
really think of it
as keeping fit,
our favourite
family activities are hiking or
kayaking out to the beaches
in Sai Kung, fully armed with a
lovely picnic.

arry and Daddy go running, scooting and biking
together, while little Barney and I join our lovely
weekly stroller fitness group, Aeromums! –

W
e take
advantage of
many of Hong
Kong’s wonderful
promenades and go for long
walks with our baby in the
stroller: Central, Kowloon, TST,
Hung Hom and Taikoo, to
name a few. The ocean always
seems to soothe my baby and
we never get tired of the view.

W
e do the usual family hikes
(we love Dragon’s Back) and
bike riding in the park, but if I
think the kids need a bit more exercise,
then I get them off the bus three to four
stops early. They don’t notice the walk if
we’re on our way somewhere fun! –

O
ur family enjoys
playing tennis in
turns: Dad or Mum
plays against our
daughter, while the non-
playing parent sits on the
bench and cheers. –

O
ur family goes
biking together on
the weekends. My
husband is a bike fanatic and
my son is slowly becoming
one, too. We love the time
together and we’re constantly
surprised at the rapid pace
of learning from our little one.
And, best of all, we all feel
great afterwards and head
home for a guiltless afternoon
nap! –

I
keep my little prince
busy every afternoon
with his playground
visits, where he
socialises with other kids.
I make sure that I am able
to attend my Zumba and
Cardio-Latin dances three
times per week. Then,
I enjoy a day of simple
hiking with my hubby
– with our pedometer –
which makes our bonding
more fun, adventurous
and, best of all, healthy!
–Aileen
I
like to run the Lugard Road loop, or from
Deep Water Bay to Repulse Bay along the
boardwalk; or hike up to The Peak from the
Pok Fu Lam Reservoir while pushing a pram –
it’s great for my upper arms!

W
ith young boys,
keeping fit is not
about traditional
exercise, but
rather a combination of sword
fighting, Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtle battles, and games of
tag with lots of tickles. –

M
y little guys and I
hike the glorious
Sai Kung trails,
kayak around
the islands, swing a club on
the driving range and ride our
bikes on the cycle paths.
