Win! Movie tickets for your helper
Last year a community initiative kick-started in Discovery Bay that recognises May
as
Helper Appreciation Month
. The idea struck a chord, especially with schools and
pre-schools and will pop up in more schools this year.
Playtimes
is taking part in Helper
Appreciation Month and we're giving away double movie tickets to three lucky
helpers. Why not nominate your helper by emailing us a photo of them with your loved
ones? (Please also include ONE sentence that sums up what you appreciate about
your helper.) We will post a selection to our Facebook page so be sure to check out the

Play away
All children have the right to play. Enjoy an
active day for all families and friends of children
with different abilities at the
Sports for All
fun
day. There will be field sports, ball games, team
activities and lots more. Entry is free (though
pre-registration is required) and the event
takes place on Saturday 7 May between 1 and
6pm at Kowloon Cricket Club, 10 Cox’s Road,
Jordan, Kowloon. It is aimed at children between

Kids' Gallery
Develop a solid foundation of creativity and performing skills with
Kids’
Gallery
, an award-winning children’s arts organisation. This year marks the
19th year of Kids’ Gallery, and they will be having two fantastic showcases
in June:
Aladdin
for the younger students; and
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
featuring a cast of professional actors. Kids’ Gallery is currently accepting
applications to their next summer camp and performance with the theme
of
Alice in Wonderland
. Children will receive arts and musical theatre
training in preparation for their performance on stage. Parents and friends
will join the audience, and all students will receive a Trinity College London
