We asked: What’s your favourite family-friendly dining spot in Hong Kong?
J
aspas Sai Kung: the
food is good, the
people are nice and,
most importantly,
there’s a playground
nearby so that we can have
a relaxing meal.

an Ryan’s at Pacific Place is our special-treat dining destination with the kids. It definitely caters to families,
with a kid-friendly menu and colouring sheets for when they need some extra attention. The balloons they
give out are also a huge hit.

Shrimp
Restaurant &
Market at the
Peak is my son’s favourite
restaurant for all his
birthdays. It’s a casual
restaurant chain based
on the movie
Forrest

,
and they have a
great menu for kids and
games to play.

e love to
go to Pizza
Express in
Stanley on
the weekend. The pizzas
are great and the children
can run around on the
boulevard.

e often head to Lei King Wan in Sai Wan
Ho. There are child-friendly restaurants, like
Wildfire, Berliner and T. Pot Bistro, which line
the promenade and overlook the harbour.
Street parking is easy to find and there’s a playground close
by for the kids to burn off all that excess energy!

F
or a Sunday family outing, The Peak
Lookout is nice. They provide crayons,
highchairs, a changing table in the
bathroom, a kids’ menu, a nice outdoor
seating area and no one minds strollers or kids
running around. Often we go to the Austin Road
playground before lunch and, after lunch, walk the
Peak loop with the kids and their scooters.

I
was quite impressed
with Café Deco
at the Peak. They
had a very good
children’s selection
on the menu and took
and delivered their
order first. Along with
the views, they had a
small play area for the
kids to enjoy after they
had finished their meal,
with baby sofas, books,
Lego and a few games.

he public campsite in Pui O: pitch your tent,
set the kids free on the beach, throw some
charcoal on the barbecue, and you can
have hot food ready all day long for hungry
beach-exploring children.

ecause our children are older now and becoming adventurous
eaters, we like Domani by Pacific Place for birthday brunches. They
can try anything and everything from the terrific Italian buffet and
we can enjoy a fine glass of Prosecco.
