Packing is difficult enough without having to worry about which

beauty products I’ll really need on my trip. What is the secret to

travelling light but still looking great?

Multitasking and travel-size products will save you precious

luggage space as well as application time. Try these on your

          next trip:

            Baby powder

With little fuss and no water, your unwashed hair will be

ready to go. Just dust some baby powder on your oily or flat roots – it

works on any hair colour – and your hair will look fresh.

            Lip & cheek cream

Using this two-in-one product is easy: apply it to

your lips, just like any lipstick, and then apply a bit to the apples of your

cheeks. Rub it in a bit and you’ll have a natural-looking blush.

            Perfumed creams and lotions

          Most perfumes today

come in a cream or body lotion form. Leave the

breakable glass bottle at home and just carry

          the cream instead.

            Sample sense

I pick up samples of my favourite

skincare and hair care brands from department

stores throughout the year so I have a complete

          collection when I travel.

            Facial wipes

          Cleanse and refresh your face

with a wipe such as Estée Lauder’s Take it Away

          LongWear Makeup Remover Towelettes, which

come in a small, travel-friendly container and

          quickly remove make-up without water.

            Vaseline

This comes in the cutest little travel-size tubs

and has so many uses. Mix it with lipstick to create a

conditioning balm, or mix a tiny amount with a highlighter

and sweep the mixture over bare legs for a night out. Pull your

hair into a side braid and then use your fingertips to apply a bit of

Vaseline to make it shimmer. Use it to remove eye make-up before using your facial

wipes and the make-up will come off more easily.

          passion and skills. Her

          glamorous background spans 28 years

of working in beauty, fashion and TV, in

          years, in Hong Kong.

Bright lights and uncomfortable seats do not make for a well-rested

traveller. And a traveller without rest is certainly not going to look her best

when she finally arrives. While it won’t make the flight any shorter, this flight

set from Marks & Spencer, which contains earplugs, a silky sleep mask and

an inflatable neck pillow, can make the flight more comfortable. For those

trips you take alone, or when someone else is minding the kiddos, gear up

          and rest away.
