L
ove is in the air, and I’m especially loving that February brings us more reasons to celebrate
and to extend the
festive season
another month. With Chinese New Year coming right
in the middle of the month, many of you will be heading off on another break, so soon after
you’ve come back from Christmas and Western New Year. So lucky! If you’ll be celebrating the arrival
of a new family member in this
Year of the Snake
,
you’ll be particularly interested in the story
inside about what you can expect of your tiny serpent.
Of course, the other reason we’re celebrating this month is
Valentine’s Day
.
In honour
of this day of romance, we’ve dedicated this issue to love. Will you be attending a wedding this
year? You’ll want to check out our story about
customs and etiquette
for Chinese, Indian
and Western weddings. Have you ever thought that intercultural relationships looked intriguing
and exotic? Well, they are. But, in addition to the
wedded bliss
,
they’re also full of unique
challenges, and we’ve got the scoop inside. Are you looking for ways to reignite the home fires
following the
birth of a baby?
We’ve got expert advice inside to help you make the transition
and get back in the saddle. Has your marriage turned sour and gone beyond saving? Then you’ll be
interested to learn about how to help your kids cope with your divorce. We’ve tried to cover all of
your pressing relationship
questions and curiosities
inside.
All of this love talk has me thinking about my love –
my
wonderful
husband – and reminds
me to make sure he knows just how amazing I think he is, on Valentine’s Day and every day. I hope
you have someone in your life who
makes your heart sing
,
too. And if you do? Make sure
you celebrate it.
