Charitable
challenge
Run for charity with the Child Welfare Scheme (CWS)
City Challenge
on 3 March – a fun
and exciting race around Central and Sheung Wan. This second Challenge will see
200
competitors (in teams of five) race through the streets raising funds for
underprivileged families in Nepal. The Hong Kong-based charity supports
more than 30,000 children in Nepal annually through education,
health care and social opportunities. Keeping to the “Nepal” theme,
competitors will face challenges including dressing as a Gurkha,
carrying 20 kilos (to imagine rural life, where villagers often have to
carry their water long distances) and answering questions about the

Animal Emergency Centre
(
AEC) specialises in after-hours emergency medicine
for pets. Many emergencies occur at night, including poisonings, tick fever, severe vomiting
and diarrhoea, and are often too serious to wait until regular pet clinics open. Over holidays such
as Chinese New Year, when most vet clinics are closed for a few days, if your pets require urgent
medical attention, the AEC will be there. The AEC is a dedicated, fully equipped emergency clinic
