Nearly every mum in my chair has experienced hair loss, either
as a temporary problem or continually. I know how upsetting
this can be, so I’m always searching for products that contain
the effective ingredients they need to treat the problem, while
still being affordable. Here are three products I’ve found to
cleanse, nourish and treat thinning hair.

Chemically Treated Hair:
Purifying Scalp Cleanse /
Shampoo.
This shampoo cleanses
the scalp of residues that
can contribute to hair
loss, creating an optimal
scalp environment for
healthier, thicker-looking
chemically-treated hair.
The latest make-up trend for spring is going bare. I love this idea: it’s easy
to do and will be especially welcome as the humidity cranks into high
gear this month. And the natural shine of your own skin makes you look
younger than a matte, heavy foundation look.
If you’re skipping foundation, it’s especially important to use a
good moisturiser and to make sure your brows are well-groomed.
You’ll still want to conceal dark circles, so it’s a good time to invest in
a high-quality product designed specifically for the eye area. Make-
up artist Bobbi Brown says, “Cover dark circles with a creamy yellow-
toned concealer. For extreme darkness, start with a pink-toned
corrector, then layer on the yellow-toned concealer.” When you
apply it, be sure to blend it well, and then check it in different lights.
Your best bet is to head outside and check the look in natural light.
Now’s a great time to experiment with bronzer, which will help
enhance your natural glow without the weight of foundation.
Chemically Treated Hair:
Balancing Scalp Nourish /
Conditioner.
This conditioner, which contains
sunflower oil, rosemary oil and ivy
extract, nourishes the hair and
defends it against the bad stuff
in the environment. Ginseng and
hops further nourish the hair and
strengthen the scalp.
Joico Cliniscalp Botanical Thinning Hair Solutions:
Advanced Thinning Rescue.
The products in this system all feature glycoproteins to protect and
moisturise chemically-treated hair, and wage a comprehensive
attack against hair loss by: cleansing the scalp of sebum;
neutralising environmental pollutants that can weaken or damage
the scalp and hair follicles; and providing essential nutrients to the
scalp and hair follicles.
