1: The science teacher was late. Jeremiah Lee was puzzled. Then the door burst open.

In came a man covered from head to toe in fowing garments. “I am a substitute teacher,” he growled in a low voice. “Your normal teacher is sick. Get on with whatever you are supposed to be doing.” While the children worked, the teacher kept an eye on the scene outside the window.

At the lab bench, Jeremiah Lee used a coil of wire and a tiny object called a capacitor to make a radio receiver, and then quietly used it to tune in to the radio news. “Urgent. A supervillain is hiding in the district. He may be disguised,” the news reader said. This was a mission for Jeri Telstar.

2: The rumbling sound grew louder.

Then the foor shook.

“It’s an earthquake!” said the teacher. “We need to get to safety.”

But then the sound changed from a rumble to a loud hum, as you would get on an aircraft.

“Stay calm,” said the teacher. “And we’ll fle out to the playground in an orderly manner.”

Below you’ll fnd the three new Jeri Telstar adventures. Choose one and write up to 300 words telling us the rest of the story.

But the frst child to reach the door leading to the outside stopped and squealed. Jeremiah Lee ran up to the doorway to see what was happening out in the playground. But there was no playground. The school had shot up into the sky.

Someone had stolen the building and everyone in it. Jeremiah Lee ran to the boys’ toilet to change into his Jeri Telstar costume.

3: Merry Weather stepped into the bank and took her place in the queue.

Then she noticed that the man in front of her was putting on a mask. He must be a bank robber! The young girl knew what to do. She slipped out of the queue and reached for her mobile phone to call the town superhero, Jeri Telstar.

“There’s a man in the bank putting on a mask. Come quick,” she whispered.

“I’m on the other side of town,” Jeri said. “It’ll take me at least two minutes to get there. Can you deal with him until then?”

Merry promised to try, and rang off. Then she looked around the room for something to use to try to stop the bank robber.
