A
new school term has started and it’s a good time to factor in some fun for the family when the school bell rings!
Hong Kong Parkview offers a full spectrum of kids’ activities, all designed to build physical coordination, heighten spatial awareness, boost kids’ confdence and provide loads of excitement, fun and friendship. All members are welcome.
New kid's activities in the pipeline
Sports and being outside top the list of kids’ all-time favourite activities. At Parkview, “Tiger,” an internationally acclaimed mini-tennis programme, is tailor-made to help kids from a young age progressively develop into all-round tennis players. The frst of Tiger’s three stages, Mini Red, allows toddlers as young as two-and-a-half years old to learn movement, gain coordination and develop interest in rallying and more. The second stage, Mini Orange, uses a smaller court and a special mini-tennis ball that bounces less, letting kids focus on gaining skills for frustration-free, full-on fun. Tiger’s fnal stage, Mini Green, offers a full-sized court and a softer, lighter – and slower – training ball, so kids gain tactics and competitive tips along with skills. Adventurous kids also will be drawn to the new climbing programme at Parkview with its progressive and certifed climbing levels, all led by professional YMCA instructors to enhance young climbers’ strength and coordination skills.
Another exciting sports programme is Rugby4kids, in which qualifed international coaches provide training for kids ages two to six in passing, kicking, catching and try-scoring, with the use of soft, small rugby balls. Soccer, basketball, dance and martial arts round out the sports offerings at Parkview.
With hot weather still holding sway, it is a wonderful time for fun in the water. Splash's learn to swim programme at Parkview is perfect for kids of all ages, closely following the internationally acclaimed AUSTSWIM teaching precepts and practices. Kids progress through nine different profciency levels to become strong swimmers, safe in the water.
Splash presents classes for babies and toddlers to learn swimming fundamentals, with parents welcome to join in. A high teacher-to-child ratio further ensures swimmer safety and makes learning more personal. Splash offers three levels of classes, for babies from the age of six months up to toddlers of three-and-a-half years.
