Don’t let a bad hair day or summer’s relentless humidity keep you from looking lovely. Follow these steps and you’ll have a fun bun that’s perfect for day or evening.
Summer bun
Start by combing out dry hair. Buns are often easiest to do with hair that hasn’t been freshly washed. Try this style a day or two after you’ve shampooed, or on any bad hair day.
Comb all of the hair into a high ponytail and secure with an elastic band. (Use two bands if your hair is very thick.) Use hairspray to smooth any fyaways.
Back-comb (tease) the loose end of the ponytail.
Sculpt the teased hair into the shape of a bun and secure it all the way around with bobby pins. Leave one small strand of hair free.
Twist that last strand of hair and wrap it around the bun to hide the bobby pins. Secure the strand with a bobby pin.
Your bun is complete.
Add a fower (real or artifcial) to change the look, if you like.
Win!
