We asked: Most of the back-to-school attention is on the kids. But, is there anything you’re hoping to learn this year?

’m hoping to re-learn my Mandarin speaking, writing and reading skills – for my own beneft and also with hopes of helping my kids with their homework. – Sharon

y youngest is starting school, which gives me lots of free time. Yale University offers some online courses and I plan to pick one course and see it through. Fingers crossed! – Shweta

ack home, I was working full-time, going to school part-time, and looking after the girls while my husband travelled for work. Now that my girls are starting school, I’m taking advantage of my free time to complete my degree in business management, majoring in human resources. – Tammie

here are a few things that I plan to do once my daughter starts P1 and our third child arrives in mid-September. I will be sitting for an exam so that my husband and I can start our own business in October. On top of that, I will be trying my hand at being an accessories consultant. Hopefully these will keep the baby blues away! – S

just joined a Thai-boxing course. You might think that this is cruel, bloody and only for men, but that’s not true – there are many women in the class as well. They also offer classes for kids, and I’m considering bringing my son with me and turning it into a good activity for us to share.
