Gilian Johnston
Scenic Stirling in Scotland was where Gillian grew
up. An inquisitive, talkative, active child who
didn’t like to nap when there was fun to be had,
she quickly learnt to multi-task, being known to
do jigsaws, read, do crafts and watch TV all at
the same time – usually whilst eating.
Developing an early penchant for cooking,
Gillian has combined her passions for food
and travel, frequently dragging her partner Vincent round the globe
armed with nothing more than a rucksack and guidebook.
Calling Hong Kong home for almost ten years, Gillian happily multi-
tasks, being a domestic goddess and gym bunny whilst writing and
planning the next adventure. She has also recently qualified as a yoga

Angela was born and bred in not-so-sunny
England, where she spent her childhood
years performing on stage, writing poetry and
reading books. Engrossed in the world of words,
she forgot to apply to universities. She hastily
copied her friend’s application forms and found
herself studying information technology for
three tedious years. After an uninspiring stint in IT
consulting, she parted ways with programming and pursued a rewarding
career in public relations. In 2006, Angela and her husband moved to
Hong Kong, where she now spends her adult years performing multiple
roles as a mother-of-three, writing copy and reading as many books as
humanly possible, in between.
