great scientist once said that it’s too selfish to think of ourselves as the only being in the wide
universe. A lot of people thought he was crazy, but he was right. In a faraway galaxy, there was a
planet that was just like the Earth.
The planet was called Serpentopia. On that planet there live some very interesting creatures. They
basically are walking lizards with a much longer neck. This species is very advanced. By the time the first cave
man strived on the Earth’s surface, the serpent people were already cruising around in their own solar system. It
wasn’t too long after they mastered intergalactic travel. But intergalactic flight came at a cost - a large amount
of energy is needed. In order to accommodate that, the serpent people built a humongous ship. The ship was
very distinctive-looking. It was built like a serpent which was highly maneuverable for easy travel through
asteroid belts. There was one problem, where to go? So, the serpent people decided to go to visit other life forms
in the vast universe. They started searching for Goldilocks Planets, which are basically planets capable of
sustaining life. The serpent people targeted at the Earth and started their journey with hope to meet new life
forms. After entering the Earth’s solar system, they realized that the Earth’s gravitational force was much higher
than their home planet. It was then when the Earth pulled the space ship towards itself and the space ship
crashed, all hands lost.
Back then on the Earth, it was the Qin Dynasty. Wars raged on a fertile land which was later known as
China. At that time, Mongolian and other invaders were all trying to take over the land. The Chinese Emperor
was having trouble keeping invaders out. The Emperor ran out of ideas and he was ready to surrender. Then the
space ship crashed just outside China. The Emperor discovered the long serpent ship, and it gave him an idea.
The Emperor quickly scrambled everyone to build a high wall over the ship and extend the Great Wall until it
was able to defend China from invaders.
After 2000 years, the Great Wall is still standing strong. Some of the sections are now in ruins or have
disappeared. And yet, it has become one of the most magnificent structures in the history of mankind. What
people don’t know is what lies under the Great Wall of China once helped protect the country.
