Sacred Heart Canossian College, Heily Ho, Fiction: Group 3
Prologue
In a dark and gloomy galaxy, a star shone brightly, and lit up the whole solar system. The star
was burning up fiercely it never died out. In 1958, a number of sunspots were growing silently.
With a monstrous bang, a yellow-orange flame erupted and headed towards a place ... the Earth.
Behind this, a person was watching all this happen.
Part One
‘Today another five people were reported disappearing mysteriously in Jining. A total of ten peop-
were reported to vanish into thin air since yesterday. The police and the government are curren-

crooked antennas; I just couldn’t stand the static on it.
Meanwhile up in her room, Aka, my smaller sister, was trying on clothes her mom bought her.

A boy wearing T-shirt and jeans was there, but wait, it was moving from left to right , just like
ghosting on bad reception television.
‘I must be imagining this,’ I watched Aka rubbing her eyes. ‘This must be my imagination;
I didn’t get enough sleep last night; this must be the reason why this happened. We’ll ask our
mom...’ Aka’s voice trailed off. I closed my eyes , breathed in deeply and listened as Aka’s voice
seemed to be getting far away. I could feel that I was moving but I didn’t open my eyes because I
felt comfortable right there. In my whole life I had never felt so free. Soft wind gently kissed my
cheeks, until it all ended, and I slowly opened my eyes ...
Part Two
The heat was burning on my head; I felt that I could fry an egg on it. I couldn’t even tell
whether my eyes were open or closed anymore, and the sun was shining till everything was
