Brilliant gold and orange hues spread across the sky as the sun rose when I said goodbye to Sonia’s
family.
“Bye, Rei!” Sonia waved, “Visit soon!”
“I will!”
Rei climbed down slowly.
This has truly been an incredible journey
she thought. The rushing of
the river matched her heartbeat as she dashed back to the village. Her father was sat in a wooden chair. He
looked up just in time to see Rei running towards him, a beautiful sunset colored petal clutched in her hand.
“Father, I’m home!” She exclaimed.
