Go step by step towards a brighter future by joining the

Walk for Sight 2014

Put your best foot forward and make giant strides in the
fight against global blindness while enjoying nature. The
walk will take place at Tai Tam Country Park on Sunday,
9 March, from 9:30am to 2:30pm, beginning and ending
at the Hong Kong International School. A 6km route is
available for families, along with 10km for keen walkers
or 14km for the most adventurous participants. Register

The Room Studio
, an interior decoration studio that helps people create unique,
stylish and comfortable homes, is giving away a kids’ bedroom or playroom
makeover. The lucky winner will receive several consultations to work with the
studio in creating a unique and fab look for a fun room. You have to buy the
furnishings, but the designer will help find the best prices. The room design will
include plans for furniture, window dressings, wall coverings, paper, art work,
soft furnishings, upholstery and rugs. Email

Autism
awareness
In partnership with ESF, the
2014 Hong
Kong Inaugural ASD Conference
will
be held at Cyberport on 3 and 4 April,
coinciding with Autism Awareness
Month. Clinical psychologists Dr Tony
Attwood, from Australia, and Dr Isabelle
Hénault, from Canada, will be keynote
speakers. The conference aims to
increase knowledge and awareness of
autism spectrum disorders, including
Asperger’s syndrome, for educators,
professionals, families and carers, and
hopes to aid in the development of tools
to support the lives of individuals with
