I
magine this: it’s a beautiful day, and
you’re ready to make the most of it with
other families. You’d like the children to
learn new skills, be able to run and play
freely, while you and the other grown ups
catch up over a cup of coffee. Sounds
deliciously simple, but with spaces limited
in Hong Kong, it becomes a struggle
for many young families to make real
connections, in a quality-rich environment.
Luckily, Kindermusik with Crisel has
teamed up with WilliamAlexander Café
and Retail to solve this puzzle!
This May, we are delighted to
announce the opening of Baumhaus – a
brand-new arts, education and family
entertainment centre. The venue hosts
two creative arts classrooms, a high-end
playroom, and a café and retail area
for all – young and old! The 2,700-sq.
Presenting
BAUMHAUS
foot facility, in the heart of the Star Street
neighborhood, will open more classes for
the creative arts, and be ready to host
family events and community gatherings.
Early childhood and performing arts
activities at its finest
It’s never too early to instill in children a
love for the arts! This is what Kindermusik
with Crisel, one of Hong Kong’s popular
early childhood music and movement
programmes, believes. “We’re moving
further to engage specific skills that
our youngsters are developing – in
music, movement and drama,” says
head teacher Crisel Consunji. “We’re
proud to launch Drama Lab to promote
process-based performing arts learning
for children and adults, as well as
performance-oriented classes for children
who love being onstage..”
That’s right—performing arts classes
will be offered for older children and
adults as well! However, if performing is not
on your list…
Have a coffee and do your shopping
while the children play
WilliamAlexander Café and Retail
launches its first fully family-oriented café
in the Baumhaus. This comes as exciting
news for families who would love the
idea of quality food and coffee in the
ultimate child-friendly and educational
environment. While the children play or
join regular playroom activities, grown
ups can sit back and connect with like-
minded families.
Connecting and building a community
“At the end of the day, quality for families
and building a community is what this is
all about,” says Baumhaus co-director
Angela Zhang. This is why Baumhaus has
many community events lined up – mum
& baby meet-ups, parenting and teacher
courses, as well as regular activities made
for the children in the playroom – whether
it be concerts or storytelling for toddlers,
coffee art or cake decorating courses for
the young-at-heart.
Finally, a place where children learn and families play!
Baumhaus opens in May 2015 in
Queen’s Road East. Events and
party reservations are open, and
registrations for Kindermusik with
Crisel and Drama Lab classes are
ongoing. For more information, visit
