Hong Kong Young Writers Award 2017

he registration phase for schools has now been
extended until the
30th November 2016.
We
invite all registered students to start creating and
submitting their written, digital, and artistic pieces under
the theme –
The NewTales of Old Shanghai.
There is still
plenty of time to get your submissions in as the deadline
is 20th January 2017.
The HKYWA team wants to thank all the schools from
Hong Kong, China, and Macau that have registered for
the Hong KongYoungWriters Awards 2017.Teachers
should choose the 10 best written pieces from their class
to be submitted to the competition under the categories
of Fiction, non-Fiction, and Poetry. Students from years
10-13 are invited to submit original short films to the
Digital Storytelling category.
The HKYWA team has been compiling inspirational
material on this year’s topic from a variety of modern and
historical sources. Please visit the writing room to review
all content.
We have some fantastic prizes, trophies and certificates
that will be awarded to the top 100 students.They will all
be presented at the HKYWA Awards Ceremony in March
2017.With the chance to be published in a professional
Anthology, this is an opportunity you can’t afford to miss!
