“Forever and ever” I whispered, grabbing his hand I told him how much he meant to me.
A few days later, it was the day. We both knew it was happening and we didn’t question it nor
cry over it. We just spent our time with each other. We were simply made for each other.
“Come help me, Bree” shouted Rhys.
I ran over and asked him what the problem was. He said to come play explorers with him.
“No” I replied “Not unless you play doctor with me”
After an intense battle of rock, paper, scissors we decided on playing explorers first. Looking
back, even when I was eight I knew I loved him. Why must the best people go first? It’s not right.
I walked down to held Dominic to help him with his homework and pushed Rhys out of my
mind. No use being bitter and sad now I thought to myself. He wouldn’t approve of that. So with
a set smile on my face, I sat down with Dom determined to make sure he lived the happiest life
possible. Over my dead body will he have to have to suffer as much as Rhys did.
