Avon Skin So Soft Original Dry Oil Spray
Moisturiser? Check. Bug repellent? Check. Safe for mums and
bubs alike? Check. This is one of Avon’s best-selling products
of all time, and it’s for good reason. Spray on this non-greasy,
lovely but light-smelling dry oil to hydrate your skin while
keeping the mosquitoes, sand flies and midges at bay. It’s
deet-free, and instead relies on safer citronella as a repellent.
During pregnancy, the increased level
of oestrogen typically stimulates hair
growth. This is why so many women
have full-bodied and longer hair while
pregnant. However, a few unlucky
ladies will experience the opposite.
Every woman’s body reacts a bit
differently to pregnancy, so hair loss
can be normal; however, if you’re
experiencing dramatic hair loss during
pregnancy, there’s a good chance
that your diet is lacking some important

your doctor.

as your body gets back to normal is
to blame. The good news is that this is
usually just a phase and your hair will
return to its normal cycle after about six

entirely, there are some steps you
can take to limit the damage:

wet, so be gentle. Avoid fine-
tooth combs.
• Use the cool setting on your hairdryer.

lip gloss. If your face is puffy and looking
a bit rounder than normal, using bronzer

I think world-renowned make-up
artist Bobbi Brown said it best: “For many
women, pregnancy is a time when their
bodies do not feel like their own. Make-
up can be used as a tool to feel pretty
and in control.”
