they feltassured of the dead-end road ahead.
The two men did not realize that the snow had stopped falling, but the world was just as bleak.
They were barely walking anymore, every part of their body felt like breaking apart. Though they
wandered together, they had no certain path. Ruthless snow covered the desert, not a hint of life
could be seen anywhere. They had lost hope in the world, in themselves, in living, in hope. They
hesitated taking every step, wanting to drop dead right there. They glanced at each other and saw
the same thought in their weary eyes. Together, they fell into the snow, taking what they hoped to
be their last breath.
Time passed and the two men were no more than bodies, prepared to be blown away any
moment. Nothing could be heard roaming the land, not even the wind. The two bodies suddenly
felt twitching on their backs. Theylet out a brief sigh of relief, but the twitching simply continued.
The two opened their eyes to see what was holding them back, but they quickly shut it again. The
sunlight had scorched their eyes momentarily, and their souls were returned to its flesh. The two
men remained motionless amid the snow. The sun was all but expected.
