guess I’ll just have to make up a story with these things.
“Once upon a time in a city where.. “
“No! Start off in a desert Mia!”
“A desert? But why?”
“Come on, pretty pretty please Mia, please. Make it the Gobi Desert.”
“Alright, fine. Once upon a time in a desert far far away, the Gobi Desert, there lived a camel.
It was a very hot and sunny day. He was walking through the desert when all of a sudden, his
telephone rang!”
“What! A telephone?! Mia come on, how can a camel have a telephone in the desert?”
exclaimed Jeremy.
“Then what do I say? I don’t know much about the desert nor what camels do. The camel
walked along the desert and saw how boring it was there.”
“Hey! Boring?!”
“Well okay, how BEAUTIFUL it was there” I said while coughing to show my sarcasm. “So
the camel was walking slowly through the desert on a hot sunny day, appreciating the beautiful
scenery he was standing before. Then a um..” “Hey! Deserts aren’t all that bad. Mia there are so
many interesting things in a desert!”
Okay my brother is just weird. How can a desert be interesting? All there are, are endless
amounts of sand and a never-ending path full of nothing.
“Oh oh! Talk about him meeting his friend a marbled porecat!”
“Oh Jeremy, you mean a marbled POLECAT” I said laughingly “The camel, names Harold was
walking through the desert when from a distance, he saw a small creature, black and white with
a big yellow marking on the center of its body walking. She was a marbled polecat and her name
was Patricia.
“Good day to you Patricia, where are you off to?”
“Hi Ben! Oh I’m just heading south west. What about you?”
“Oh well, I’m not doing much. Just walking around.”
“Aright, well see you around Ben!”
“No!” exclaimed Jeremy “Harold and Patricia did the desert dance before saying bye to
each other!”
“The desert dance? Hmm that’s interesting. Alright so Harold and Patricia did the desert dance
and then Patricia had to leave because um she had to..”
“She was late for a sand party!”
“Okay because she was late for a sand party. Then..”
“Mia don’t you think it would be so nice to live in a desert? How peaceful it is there, and the
endless sand there are to build sand castles and even sand animals and all that! They’re so cool!”
Sand castles and sand animals? My brother is one interesting boy. I didn’t think of deserts
in that way but when Jeremy mentioned how peaceful a desert could be, that got my attention.
Imagine how peaceful a desert could be, how lovely it would be to just lay in the middle and let
my worries fade.
“I got it Jeremy! Harold was so tired after dancing that he decided to rest by the desert and
just stare out into the endless amount of sand.”
“Oh oh! Talk about the sun and the clouds and the sky and everything!”
“Ooh yes! Relaaaaax Jeremy, I’m getting there! Okay so he stared out into the desert and saw
