November, I was on a holiday in Australia. I lived in an old big wooden house.
At night the house was dark and cold. I decided to have some exploring. I went to the
attic, which was dusty and a little bit scary. Suddenly, I saw a purple light. It was the
moonlight shining on a valuable purple diamond, which was kept in a golden little box. I quickly
walked towards it. Suddenly, the time stopped. Everything turned into white light and vanished
into thin air and fainted immediately.
When I woke up, I found I was lying on a wooden bed and wearing some traditional Chinese
costume. There was an old man sitting on the side of my bed.
“I’m Marco, where am I?” The man said: “You fell from the sky, now you are in Beijing.”
“What on earth are you saying?” I said surprisingly, “I’m in Australia.”
The man said curiously “What is Australia?”
I said angrily “In 2014, there ARE people who don’t even know what Australia is!?”
“Oh! Maybe you hit your head badly, it’s 1914 now,” The man said, “I am Commander
James.”
“Commander James, 1914?” I thought. Suddenly my eyes sparkled, and asked “Commander
James, are you the Commander of China and the international Army for fighting against Japan?
I’ve read a book before about you.”
Commander James asked curiously: “How do you know? Have you got super power?”
I slowly told him the truth. He smiled and said: “You are a smart man, you can be our
trooper.”
Suddenly the tent shook hardly and everything’s gone. A big plane passed by. I was scared and
ran away. Suddenly there was a gun pointing at me, the man said: “Don’t move or I’ll shoot!”
Now I realized that I was in big trouble. I quickly ran away as fast as I could, but I started to
tremble hardly that I couldn’t even move a step.
Something amazing happened. The purple diamond in my pocket glowed, a big book
appeared in front of me and pulled the Japanese army into the pages, the Japanese turned into
colorful pictures and their weapons turned into words.
After 5 seconds the book was closed and the page in front wrote “1914 Japanese War” and
disappeared. I tried to get calm but I couldn’t, my breaths were very fast that I couldn’t control. I
fainted again.
When I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on the old wooden bed that I slept in Beijing. I
looked at the huge screen outside the house, which showed the date 14
