co.uk) and Snow Forecast (snow-

information, from resort cameras to
previous seasons’ snow conditions, top
ten lists and weather maps, too.
Tiny tots in tow
Like most holiday planning, your goal
is to make the travel experience with
babies and toddlers as stress-free as
possible. Consider an all-inclusive
ski accommodation package with
childcare, crèche facilities, meals and
entertainment, ensuring you have
services on hand when you need them.
Sahoro, Japan, and Yabuli in
China are good short-haul options
(both have direct flights of under five
hours from Hong Kong). Fly direct
to Sapporo on Hokkaido Island for
Sahoro, and, for Yabuli, fly to Harbin.
Once you land in either place, it’ll take
you about two and a half hours to get
to your resort.
Club Med locations in both
Sahoro and Yabuli (clubmed.com.hk)
offer Petit Club Med, a crèche facility
aimed at children aged two to four.
In addition to childcare, the Club
Med package includes food, group
lessons, ski passes, ski hire and other
leisure and evening activities. This
year Club Med Yabuli has partnered
with instructors from the Ecole du
Ski Français (ESF), ensuring quality
instruction.
The slopes and beyond
Young kids might crave a bit of
non-skiing snow fun in addition to
their time on the slopes. You’ll be
well-served to research resorts with
non-skiing activities to keep them
entertained.
Establish where your
accommodation is in relation to
the ski school and nursery slopes to
keep carrying ski kit to a minimum.
