Playtimes April 2014 - page 24

I
think we are all looking
forward to springtime
since the cool, miserable
weather lasted so long this
year. The little one and I
can’t wait to swim outdoors
– our gear is ready! –
Ivy
I
’d say it’s the perfect time to hit the
beach with the kids! Soak up the sun
and smell the salty breeze! –
Sharon
A
long hike and
a day at the
ocean. I cannot
wait to get the
family back out to Tai Long
Wan. –
Sonia
R
eading a book on the
balcony, at least until the
oppressive heat comes along.
Andreas
H
ang out by the pool
and beach, or rent a
junk with friends on the
weekend. –
Young
W
hen the sun starts shining is when our family
likes to escape to the beach to throw some
sand in the water and make sand castles.
Biking is also a big hit with our boys! –
Rilla
W
e are looking
forward to
spending time in
the pool, on the
beach and on the track to work
on the knots of fat that have
colonised our bodies over the
cold evenings. –
Shari
P
icnic. Surprisingly, there
are many public parks
in this town with patches
of green. We always enjoy a
day out, smelling the leaves
and enjoying a relaxing day in
a green oasis. –
Stephanie
W
e just can’t
wait to hit
the beach!
Swimwear and
beach toys are waiting...
Shweta
S
pringtime is when
colours come alive with
green grass, blue skies
and lovely blossoms. It’s
the time of the year where we
explore the beaches, have a
lovely picnic and enjoy the cool
breeze! Can’t wait for summer
holidays... Best time ever!
Hema
W
hen the
sun is out,
there’s no
other place
our family would rather be
than by the pool cooling
off and splashing around.
If it’s a real scorcher, we
love walking around the
air conditioned malls or
eating at The Boathouse
in Stanley, al fresco-style.
Kat
W
e’re certainly ready to:
1. go to the beach, to enjoy
the breeze and sunshine;
2. enjoy picnics, visit farms
and take nature walks;
3. create arts and crafts related to Easter –
spring flowers, greenery, Easter eggs;
4. welcome any humid or rainy days with good books;
5. check out all the new exhibitions at the museums.
Eunice
T
he simple things. Sitting out on the
balcony with the kids, enjoying
breakfast and a cup of tea. –
Eileen
I
can’t wait to walk to buy
myself and the kids an
ice cream in the summer
afternoons, plan pool
parties, and just get out of
the house wearing shorts
and tees. What I’m
not
looking forward to is getting
bitten by mosquitoes! –
Sonia
inyour opinion
We asked: When the gloomy days of winter are truly behind us and the sunshine
and higher temperatures return, how are you looking forward to enjoying it?
W
e love going to
Repulse Bay. There’s
a lovely length of
smooth path for scooters and
enjoying the sea view. After
that, we’ll go to the beach
for sand and sea fun, and a
lovely picnic. –
