into the cave to save Jerry, the monster saw us and put us into the prison. The prison was very
horrible. It had a lot of blood on the wall. The blood congealed, and it was hard and sharp like
a human hand. We were very afraid of being eaten by the monster. When the monster stared at
Jerry, we pushed Jerry to the monster but the monster did not eat him. The monster put him into
the prison again. The monster talked with the animals, such as cats and dogs. They were friends
and they looked at us in a very threatening way.
At first, we though the animals would not hurt us because they were small. But when we saw
them in the afternoon, it was wrong. The animals were unfriendly. When they saw us taking out
our knife, they tried to bite us. Then we used our knife to kill them.
After we had killed them, they all yelled and then disappeared. All we could find was only a
ring on the ground. When Tom picked up the ring, all the animals saluted to him.
Then, Tom came up with a very good idea— we could use the ring to order the animals to open
the prison to save us. We were freed after the dogs and cats opened the prison for us. All things
seemed to be easier with the ring.
At night, when we were taking a rest in the desert, we were very much regret to what we had
done. We were no good friends of Jerry as we wanted to push Jerry to the monster in order to
save our own lives. How selfish, how stupid, how heartless we are! I was very angry with myself
and kept saying sorry to him. Tom also felt sorry because he wanted to sacrifice the life of Jerry
too. When Tom and I wanted to say sorry to Jerry, Jerry did not get angry with us and even said
“Thank you” to us.
“If you did not help me to kill that dog, I must die. Thank you so much!” said Jerry.
“We are best friend. I will help you when you are in trouble. You also helped me last time so
you do not need to say thank you anymore. You just need to remember we are best friends,” I said
We gave the ring to Jerry, and he used it to order the animals to serve us and help us in
our journey.
“Son! What are you doing in the room? You must leave now! Do you remember you have to
have lunch with Jerry and Tom? It is eleven o’clock now. If you do not go out now, you will be
late.” Mom said.
“Okay, mom,” I said. I will not forget this adventure which has testified our friendship and
strength our bond between each one another.
