ast summer, a clumsy but outstanding geography student called Chris decided to go
on a trip. Kenneth, his so-called “Best Friend”, was going on an adventure in The Gobi
Desert with Chris together. Their leader is a well-known geography professor, Erwin who
works at Chris’ school. They might have dreamed about how they would enjoy their trip;
however, the real life is always a hard life.
One morning, while Chris was sleeping soundly on his bed, enjoying the first day of the
summer holiday, suddenly he heard a loud voice.
“What’s happened? Is there an explosion?” Chris said.
“Wake up my son, now it is already 8:00 am, if you still don’t wake up, you are going to miss
the flight!” said Chris’ mum.
”What! It’s already 8:00 am?”
He immediately jumped up from his bed, ran to the wash room to change his clothes and ran
out of his home.
“Take care, my dear. Call me if you can. You know how much I will miss you.” said Chris’ mum.
Just a second , Chris had whizzed off and left the house.
When Chris arrived at the airport, he found that the professor and Kenneth were waiting for him.
“Where have you been? We have been waiting for you for a long time,” said Kenneth grumpily.
“You have finally arrived, my boy,” said the professor.
While professor started to talk about the details of their flight with Kenneth, Chris found out
there was a girl who looked a bit pale but bright standing behind the professor.
“The girl is an angel.” Chris thought. Chris smiled to the angel, and the angel smiled too.
Kenneth didn’t see anything like an angel but he did not like to see Chris is so happy.
“Chris, since you are a geography genius, let me ask you some questions.”
Chris was scared by Kenneth at that time. Chris could clearly see that the fire of anger and
jealously was burning inside Kenneth’s body.
Besides, Chris had left all his research papers about The Gobi Desert at his home.
“As I know…
The Gobi Desert……is a place full of sand,” said Chris.
“Ouch!”
Kenneth slapped Chris’ face.
“You dopey boy! You look stupid, and you know nothing. I wonder why professor brings you
with us,” shouted Kenneth, staring at Chris angrily.
“Just because I am handsome, and I have got the highest marks in Geography” Chris said
slowly with courage.
In a second, Kenneth slapped his face again.
“Stop! It hurts!”
Chris suddenly felt a soft hand putting some cream on his face tenderly. Chris knew that he
was the only who could see the angel.
However, Professor Erwin remained silence and asked them to sleep for a while because they
are going to use more energy in The Gobi Desert.
