A few days later, they arrived at The Gobi Desert. When they arrived, they immediately went
to a market and bought many essential things. They included matches, a tent, lamp skin bags for
storing water, a few camels for transportation and the most important thing, the machete, which
can help them to make useful tools and protect themselves. Furthermore, they also used the newly
bought machete to make few wood logs for them to make fire and also protect themselves.
“Where is the first place we have to go?” asked Chris.
“We are going to an archaeological area where the first dinosaur was found,” said the professor.
“Wow! That sounds really great!”
Later on, Chris and Kenneth packed all the things for their camels to carry. They looked really
exciting riding on their camels.
Time flies, they arrived at the archaeological areas. Many archaeologists were working there.
Big bones were scattered everywhere on the ground. The leader of those archaeologists even came
to have a talk with them and told them how he and his team members had successfully discovered
the first dinosaur egg in the world which made him feel joyful all the time. Chris and his friends
were all ears when listening to what the head archaeologists said.
When they finished the conversation, it was already midnight. They decided to find a place to
rest. Finally, they found a big cave. It was much more warmer and considered to be safer. Chris
and Kenneth lit a big fire inside that cave to keep themselves warm and away from wild animals.
After that, they ate some food for dinner and went to sleep.
When all of them were sleeping very deeply, they suddenly heard some strange noise, so they
woke up immediately. They found that their fire went out. There were wolves howling outside and
two wolves were trying to take their belongings.
“Make yourself a torch with a stick and fire immediately! Take out your machete. Let us kill
them all! ” yelled Kenneth.
“Be careful!” professor and Angel shouted.
Chris, with the fear of wolves and the words from Kenneth, he stood up and used his torch to
burn the wolves and use the machete to stab some of the wolves. Their camels were using their
feet to kick those wolves too. The wolves yelped and ran away. What a great victory!
“Good show, Chris,” said Kenneth. This was the first time for Chris to hear Kenneth praising him.
“I have done what a man should do,” said Chris.
“You are the man!” said the Professor.
The next morning, they ate some bread for their breakfast. Driven by the fear of being
attacked again, they decided to go home instead of insisting on doing their research. They started
their way back to the airport. They followed the map for more than half-day but still could not
find the way back to the airport.
Lastly, professor Erwin showed a very disappointed face.
“Um…I think that…the map is wrong. Guys, I do think that… we have got lost.”
Besides, they found that they didn’t have enough food because getting lost was out of their
plan. They were devastated.
“No more wood for fire!” said Kenneth.
“My dear Angel, could you say a prayer for us so we may have some miracles,” asked Chris.
When the angel heard this, it disappeared. A golden ribbon was found on the ground.
“What’s for? A golden ribbon? A blessing or a curse?” asked Chris.
“I am not an expert at all on religion. I only know the Bible teaches us to have faith in God.
