constantly and had no target. He wanted to run until he could forget all things but it is impossible.
When he noticed that it was night, he discovered he was in the Gobi Desert! ‘Why? Why am
I here? How long did I spend on this? It is impossible! Maybe I have taken lots of time on this.’
However, his mind then changed. ‘No! It is not important since I have lost all things. Nobody cares
me. I can do nothing on the world.’ Suddenly, the story about Gobia appeared in Walter’s brain. ‘Oh…
Yeah! I had heard that there was a fairy called Gobia who can realize people’s dream. Although I
have nothing, I will try my best to find Gobia because it is the only hope. Yes, it is the only hope!’
Walter started his adventure. He felt difficult along the way because he had no water and food to
supply energy. He was becoming weaker and weaker. One day was like a year. He was sad originally
about Samantha’s death and he was more uncomfortable due to being hungry. It rained strangely
when Walter was unable to cope. The rainwater looked clean and clear .Walter held the rainwater and
drank it immediately. He continued his journey when he felt he was better.
Two days later, Walter arrived at the center of the Gobi Desert. Walter was extremely tired at
this moment. However, he did not mind anything and started to pray heartily. ‘Dear Gobia, I hope
you may kindly listen to my prayer. I do not need anything including wealth, longevity. I just
want my mother back! I only need my mother! Please help me, Gobia!’ Unexpectedly, a strong light
irradiated Walter and a little angel emerged. The angel talked to Walter with a soft sound. ‘I am
Gobia. I had heard about your prayer. Walter, you seemed like a well-behaved boy. I can notice that
you are a simple-hearted person. Nevertheless, I must give you a challenge before you get my help
because I want to test whether you really want your mother to live even though you must sacrifice
your wealth, longevity even fortune.’ Walter was amazed about what he saw and replied to Gobia
after a moment. ‘Of course! I can do anything if you save my mother.’ ‘OK! You are going to have
a challenge.’ Gobia said. Abruptly, Walter stayed at big mansion and Samantha stood next to him.
Walter called ‘Mother! I am Walter. Can you hear me? ‘But Samantha did not reply anything. Walter
felt that he was holding something on his hand and he looked at his hand. ‘Oh! It is gold!! ‘Walter
yelled. ‘Walter, there is only a person either you or your mother that can live. Before you make
your choice, I must remind you that you can live in this big mansion and be a millionaire in the
real world if you choose you to be alive. Otherwise, you must die and lose your money and house.’
Walter hesitated at that time whether he should choose who to stay alive. But he started to think
why he went there. ‘Yes! I came to Gobi Desert and found Gobia owing to resurrection of mother. If I
choose money or house, all my effort will be wasted.’ ‘Gobia, save my mother please! She is the most
important person for me. If she is blessed, I am happy certainly and I will be very satisfied.’ Walter
said nervously. ‘Your dream is realized……’ The sound was becoming smaller. Darkness surrounded
Walter and he heard a familiar sound again.
‘Walter!!Walter!!’ Samantha called Walter. Walter was sleeping when he woke up suddenly. ‘Mum,
how are you? I am extremely worried about you.’ Walter asked his mother. ‘Why did you ask this
strange question? You had a nightmare last night, right? Oh! It is now twelve o’clock. We should go
to market to buy some new clothes. Tidy up!’ Walter thanked Gobia very much as he knew that Gobia
had realized his dream. Nothing else had changed except Samantha came back and they were living
in a yurt with enough income. Otherwise, he was still a poor boy. Finally, Walter said ‘I love you!’ to
his mother. Walter kept secret about Gobia forever and was living with Samantha happily since then.
