the guards up. We thanked all the men, and we took 2 of the horses from them, and headed to Hoki,
another nearby village.
During the ride, Dad finally told me what happened. He was actually a spy. Lord Shu had been his
leader. They were researching about Lord Lui, because his troop had murdered one of Lord Shu’s friends.
That was when Dad was chosen to investigate about them. Lord Lui had found out, and kidnapped Dad.
Fortunately, they didn’t’t kill Dad, because they wanted to know how much information he passed to Lord
Shu. After I heard the story, I finally understood.
After this incident, Dad stopped being a spy, and started a life of a proper merchant. Life is just I
want it to be. Also, after this happening, my story spread across the Pearl River Delta, and became a famous
legend.
