and showers. The journey was more or less delayed and affected, but that didn’t spoil Carson’s
interest in the Desert. Following Angelica, he went to the natural habitats of the animals to
collect some specimens like hair of the Gobi Bears and slices of cactus for his researches later on.
Even when the night screen had hung down, Carson was completely fascinated by his discoveries
that he just could not bear to part with his beloved sand dunes and camels. The sadness could
be seen from his eyes brimming with tears. Still, Carson had to leave the Gobi which brought
him countless precious memories. His warm hugs with the animals symbolized the end of this
unforgettable journey. Then they vanished in a puff of smoke.
Carson finally found himself at the gate in front of his house and someone was missing.
He wandered around to look for her figure. “Hi Carson, how have you been lately?” He ran into
his classmate Jessie. “I’m doing pretty fine. How about you?” “Well, you know, I am quite in a
good mood these days as…” Another casual chat began, but Carson’s search for Angelica was yet
