“Yes. I think I cannot possibly spend another minute with you!” Sky interrupted.
“I think that’s what I am suppose to say, not you!” Marine shot back.
“Enough! I am already tired of you two screaming at each other. Lets just split up right now.”
Jorja agreed.
Without another word, Sky and Claire picked up their things, and so did Marine and Jorja.
After every thing was packed, they left to go on with their own paths.
“It’s more quite than when Marine was here. The atmosphere is certainly lighter.” Sky said.
“Don’t you think its kind of lonely over here? Don’t you feel the empty spaces?” Claire said.
“What empty spaces? I don’t feel anything different. I like it better when I am only with you.”
Sky said. She tried to smile, but on her face, there were already tears dropping down from her eyes.
“Everything will be back to normal. I promise you. But for now, you can lean on me.” Claire
said as comforting as she could.
“Thanks.” Sky replied.
“I am so happy! The day that freedom finally comes to my life!” Marine cried in happiness.
“Me too.” Jorja said.
“Why are you sounding so sad?”
“I don’t know. I just thought that, without Claire, how could we survive?”
“Hey! There’s you and me!”
“Claire, I am so thirsty. I need a drink.”
“But I don’t know where to get water.”
“Do you know anyone that might help?”
“Are you thinking what I am thinking?”
“Marine!”
“Jorja, I want to eat meat, a real ripened one.”
“I know, but where will we get fire?” Jorja asked.
“You know who will really help the situation?”
“Who?”
“Look up. There’s the answer.”
“Sky!”
The four of them laughed at the same time, immediately after they saw each other.
“Maybe our telepathy worked.” Sky said. They all had a good laugh before they could speak
the next word.
“Our friendship is so strong. No matter what happens, we always seem to end up in the
same way.”
“Sorry, for not being a good friend.” Sky apologized first.
“No. I understand. I was a bad friend who doesn’t even believe her best friend.” Marine followed.
“So best friends again, huh? Happy ending!” Jorja congratulated them.
“I know that we were together for the longest time…but we are all best friends!” Sky said while
jumping in joy.
“Hooray!” they all joined in happily.
“So, ready to start a new journey to succeed our dream of finding the magic knife?” Claire asked.
“Sure!” They jumped and bounced and cheered.
