n the innermost part of the Gobi desert, there was a little mountain. A little dot could be
observed on the top of it if someone was looking at it ten kilometers away. It was a little
tribe, a hidden tribe.
Centuries ago, when there was a great war in the Gobi, a group of timid men, and their
families, tried to get out of the Gobi in order to be safe. Although they escaped from the horrible
war, they got lost in the endless desert and could only live on the little mountain.
Years had passed and it was the 21st century, the people in the tribe were still living in a
simple, old way. They burned wood as fuel and use candle as illumination. However, the cacique
of the tribe was worried.
‘We have been living in here for a long time, what is the situation of the war zone? Will the
army find us soon and capture all of us? I should find someone to go for detecting!’
As soon as he finished thinking, his brain flashed out two men, they were so clever and brave
so they were able to finish this difficult task.
After a moment, two men were standing in front of the cacique, smiling in a confident way.
“Baina and Wangchuk,’ said the cacique, ‘bring this ancient map and ride the best camels in
our tribe and look at the outside world. You should also bring some new things for all of us.’
‘Yes, cacique,’ answered two young man, who didn’t know this would be an extremely tough task.
Riding on camels, Baina and Wangchuk started their journey. Looking at the ancient map
from their ancestors, they decided to go east towards a place named ‘Renda’, which was beautiful
with a clear lake. In the first days of the trip, everything was novel and interesting to them,
however trouble came afterwards.
‘The map said we should turn left after reaching the field full of melons. But I have not seen
anything looks alike after we traveled for such a long period. Is this map still accurate and
believable?’ asked Baina with a worry.
‘The distance was not mentioned here, we should walk for a bit longer,’ said Wangchuk,
who pointing at something. ‘Look! There is a road with two black twigs! Let’s go there and find
someone for help.’
They moved to another direction, towards that ‘road’, yet a fast-moving, long object passed by
in front of them.
‘What is that thing? Is that a monster or a group of soldiers? We’d better go away!’ shouted Baina.
‘Stop yelling like a child! I saw the word ‘Renda Hyp’ and an arrow towards the south on that
thing. We should follow it and go there!’ said Wangchuk.
After another long-period camel riding, they reached a big house with huge wording ‘Durvuds’.
‘We traveled in a wrong way! We should be going to “Renda”!’cried Baina again.
‘There is a house! This mean there are people which can help us! Come on! Stop being scared!’
shouted Wangchuk.
They were shocked when they get into the door. Everything inside seemed different to what
they saw before. In order not to be detected by anyone, they lined up after one of the queues inside.
