adventure in where this statue would most likely originated- Mogao Caves and so they set off.
They discovered a flock of crowd at the entrance, dressed in complete armor. They thought
it was filming but they realised not because the soldiers pointed the spurs at them. However, the
teammates were good at karate. Mr. Hemlock was the strongest one. He beat the leader and the
army was dismissed.
When the others had been safety, Mr. Hemlock got inside, he spotted a vine rope and pulled
it. An enormous rock blocked the entrance. “That’s why people can’t discover Mogao Caves until
nineteenth century.” Elliot was excited about the fact that they had altered, or act out the history.
They came to another cave, it sounded someone lived there once. Mr. and Mrs. Hemlock
went inside a room and it was unadorned with less decoration. There were only some old paper
scrolls. Mr. Hemlock practically wiped away the dust on the working table, “ Behold! It’s the most
valuable dust I’ve ever seen!”
Meantime, Erica and Elliot shifted their path to another room. There was merely a red curtain
hanging down. Elliot uncovered it. He found a skeleton sitting on a bed, holding a strand of
wooden beads. “Wow!” he exclaimed. Mr. and Mrs. Hemlock came in and shocked by it, but it
seemed to remind Mr. Hemlock something. “I know, the first constructor of the Mogao Caves, Le
Zun! But look at his bracelet,” he pointed at one of the beads, it wasn’t made of wood, instead,
gold. “Special thing must be good,” murmured Mrs. Hemlock as she encased the golden bead into
the hemp bag with a pair of gloves.
“Let’s get out of this damn dirty place,” suggested Erica. “ Here’s no exit,” said Elliot since he
had observed the place all over. “There must be one,” answered Mr. Hemlock, heaving a paper
scroll, “he’s the constructor of the caves, he knows.” He unrolled the scroll and revealed the plan
of the caves.
The next second, Mr. Hemlock moved the skeleton out of the bed and a secret passageway was
shown. “The design is rather clandestine. However Le Zun needs a safe for his construction plans,”
that’s the only comment from Mr. Hemlock. They almost rushed to leave. Through the tunnels, the
date on their watches changed.
“What a marvelous design!” acclaimed Mr. Hemlock. Unexpectedly, they heard some soft
voice. They followed it and came outside of a room. An obscure tension filled the space. Elliot was
courageous. He took the initiative to open the door, before someone had opened it. “Who are you?”
said Elliot and the man simultaneously.
“We’re visiting, what are you doing here?” “I’m repairing the artworks and my name is Wang
Yuan Lu.” said the handsome man. After greeting, Wang did only drawing. Mr. Hemlock gasped
when he saw a mural, it was one of those exhibited in the British Museum. “It hasn’t been stolen
by Marc Aurel Stein!” thought he.
Meanwhile, Erica focused on Wang’s drawing, just because Wang was handsome. “Your
drawing is beautiful. Which artwork do you like most?” Erica wanted to start a conversation at
discretion. Wang didn’t answer, he pointed at a fresco at a nook. Erica was ignored so she walked
away alone to it.
It was about the Bodhisattva leads a woman to Pure Land. His right hand contains an incense
burner. As Erica was viewing the fresco, she noted that the incense burner was glowing. She
stealthy tipped her toes and tapped on it. A thing fell from above. It was a ball, same as the golden
bead. “What have you done to my mural?” questioned Wang angrily. “Nothing...” “Nothing? Give
the golden ball to me!” At that moment, Wang’s body transformed into a repulsive demon, shaped
