earl River Delta,
Now set as an Omega,
Used to be,
A floating tree,
Of pure and peaceful,
Serenity.
“Well, that’s what it used to be,” Peter muttered sadly
“I wish we could go back there and stop all this from happening,” Shawn snapped desperately.
As soon as they said this, as if struck by lightning, Peter, Shawn and their dad, Cameron, were transported
from their home in California to an island with an active volcano. Peter realized where they were. “I know
this place, it’s the Pearl River Delta!”
It was more than threatening, more than horrific; it was completely terrifying; it was completely terrifying
from top to bottom. To their surprise, they saw arrogant and strong soldiers unloading chemicals into the
Pearl River. “Is this real?” Cameron asked in confusion.
Out of no where, Shawn and Peter saw a heroic Liger attempting to stop the soldiers from damaging the
river. The boys gasped with excitement; it was the very first time they had seen a Liger. The Liger is a
mythical animal, a mix between a lion and a tiger. It has the ferocity of a tiger and the strength and
leadership of a lion. Shawn, Peter and Cameron rushed to the Liger, barely managing to avoid all obstacles
and carried him safely to shelter.
The Liger tried desperately to get up but it was no use, he had broken his paw. The three adventurous boys
asked why the soldiers were dumping the chemicals into the river.
“They want to build factories but the animals are in the way. So they have to risk the most beautiful river
they have and kill all the animals,” explained the Liger.
“Let’s gather an army and crush them to dust! I can contact animal lovers from all over the world!” Shawn
exclaimed. Cameron slapped Shawn on his back and exclaimed, “Have you forgotten? 1. There isn’t any
network here 2.Facebook is banned in China and 3. We didn’t even bring our cell phones!” The Liger, who
was actually a messenger of God, remarked, “Let’s not try and get into violence yet, resolving a problem
peacefully is our number one priority as of now.”
Finally, Peter spoke up “That’s right! How about we go to the commander in chief of the army and explain
to him the catastrophic effects of harming the environmental balance. Not only will it affect the
temperature, the air pollution and the ecological balance, it will also affect the living conditions of the
people in the Pearl River Delta, making it almost unlivable in the next few years.”
Cameron then told the boys to gather data and information that they could share with the chief.
“Knowledge is the most powerful weapon,” said Cameron with conviction.
The research felt like weeks and months of hard work. Going through terabytes of data on the Internet
through their friend’s, the Liger’s, connections in the Pearl River Delta, they were amazed with how
horrific the effect of poisoning the beautiful river could be. Had the army not done their homework?
Armed with information and data, and the will to do something good, the four brave soldiers with no other
weapons at their disposal, set out to meet the chief of the army residing at the top of the treacherous
mountain, ‘Nian’.
Before they made their way up to ‘Nian’, the Liger armed them with special powers. Peter was given the
power of ‘wisdom,’ Shawn had ‘speed’ and Cameron was gifted with ‘stealth.’
The first obstacle was the wall of soldiers guarding ‘Nian’. Peter played their favourite song- ‘The Nights’
by Avicii to distract them while the four of them made their way into the precarious headquarters. The Alfa
room was the next hurdle where the alert Ninja fighters guarded the mainframe. Travelling at the speed of
light, Shawn used his powers to carry everyone across the Alfa room without the skilled Ninja fighters even
noticing a thing. Now it was Cameron’s turn to use his powers. Next, in the Omega room, there were laser
trigger beams that could detect and demolish the enemy, even those travelling at the speed of light.
