addy, where are you?” She stares at the shining stars through the window with still
faith in her eyes. “It’s Christmas Eve.” She whispers with a touch of depression, the room
fills with silent and darkness, she heart beats through the air, beds clean, but empty, she
frown seeing her roommates getting picked up by their parents. She cuddles her teddy
bear tighter, whispers in its ear, ‘He will come, I know.’

for a while, take good care of yourself okay?” “So you won’t be here this Christmas?” “Yes, but I
promise I’ll come home next Christmas.” He turns around and walks towards the truck. He looks
back, seeing her waving with her being-loving teddy bear in her arm, a tear course down her
cheek contrasting her humorless smile. The truck drives away without turning back. Suddenly, she

out and nothing mattered. All she could think of was the world crashing around her in a messy
blur. She wakes up in a hospital, realizing a nurse noticed her and brought her here. She heaves a
sigh of relief, leaving her lips on Teddy’s.
