Fiction: Group 2
His teammate denied his charge against him and had a quarrel with him. While they were quarrelling, they
heard a bomb. The factory suddenly exploded and was engulfed by fire. So, I was the one to act being
expelled by the strong force of the explosion and then jumped down.
Both Tai Man and I were standing in the third-floor balcony of the factory.
“Hope you don’t mind the director’s new designation,” I smiled arrogantly at Tai Man.
“You’re deserved to be designated the post. Your experience and skill are undoubtedly the first in the field,”
said Tai Man sincerely.
“Are your arms okay?”
“A bit hurt. Never mind. It’s okay.”
“New Tales of the Pearl River Delta. Take 2. Action!”
Tai Man and I reset our fighting position and waited for the explosion to occur. “Bang!” Suddenly, we
heard creaks and cracks and felt the balcony shaking. Before I had a second thought, I fell together with the
balcony. A chill raced down my spine. My heart seemed to have abandoned my body and run away. I
couldn’t control my body as it was a sudden collapse. I prepared to be smashed into pieces. At that very
moment, I felt an acute pain on my wrist. I was hanged in the air, not falling! Looking up, I saw Tai Man
grasping my hand. He was supporting himself by holding fast a pillar. I could clearly hear his panting and
wailing. I had observed that he was grasping my hand with his hurt arm!
