Dear Diary,
I really want to change my life! Despite I am poor, don’t you promise that there is no longer
social discrimination? Why don’t you provide me with subsidy, housing or else? Don’t you know
that I’m living under poverty? Okay, that’s enough! I know that I will never be accepted by this
society. Therefore, I’ve decided to leave here!
I strolled along the street aimlessly, with no burden of course. I didn’t stop to eat or rest,
in spite of my tiredness. After the sun had set, I found a sea of sand under my feet—looking
forward—I realized I was in a desert, actually the Gobi Desert (located in northern China,
southern Mongolia)!
Wow! Had I ever taken such a close look to these distinctive animals? Golden eagles, snow
leopards, camels, gazelles, etc. caught my full attention! I wondered why the Gobi Desert was so
special—it wasn’t sandy at all but was covered with bare rocks and gravel.
There were indeed many things for me to explore! Wait for me and I’ll tell you more tomorrow!

Dear Diary,
Oh my god! I was really starving! I thirsted for any kind of food now! Hopelessly, I was just
looking for a drop of water… While I was about to faint, I felt that my waist was supported by a
strong arm!
I slowly turned my head to the back, to my surprise, here stood a strange-looking creature!
I immediately screamed loudly without hesitation. Then it said, ‘Hey, calm down! Why are you
looking so frightened? Anyway, are you feeling ill? I guess you haven’t eaten anything for a long
time, have you?’ It passed me a shoe-like thing to me and told me to eat it. I sniffed this ‘edible’
thing and it smelled nice surprisingly. ‘My family and I plant it. Isn’t it taste good?’, it asked me. I
nodded gladly and said to myself, ‘Thanks for God to let me have something to eat finally!’
Impressed by its ability to speak English, we chatted for a while. ‘Where do you actually come
from?’, I asked with confusion. ‘Ha! You’re a funny person! No one has ever asked such a question.
Um… I’m from the “Peace Kingdom”. ’ , it answered. I looked at him in disbelief, ‘Ha! You must
be kidding! I’ve never heard of the “Peace Kingdom”! ...’ ‘Sorry! I must go home now, or my mum
will scold me! I’m happy to meet you today! Maybe we can chat again tomorrow? Bye for now!’ It
disrupted me.
Later, it pressed some “invisible” buttons in the air and a “light river” appeared at once! When I
wanted to ask it, it has already travelled into the “river”. Here left my widely-opened eyes and mouth
and a bunch of wonders. ‘Was I dreaming just now? Why could it happen? …’ I asked. I couldn’t figure
it out where has it gone. Oh! Is the “Peace Kingdom” located somewhere else in the Gobi Desert?
