A Long Road Ahead
“I’ve been telling you not to come here. Why do you still insist to do so?”
Legend says, long ago in the Chun Dynasty, a farmer lived near the Gobi Desert found a
sparkling and glossy gemstone in a dark but unspoiled cavern. He regarded it as a nowhere and
toss the gemstone out of the cave. In a matter of seconds, it was exposed to the sunlight. Just
then, radiances shone right out of the stone, the ground tremble vigorously while the sand in
the desert shiver as it seems. The story ends here but the legend continues that, there are two
more similar gemstones in the Gobi Desert. Once all three of them are brought to light, the secret
passage to the wealth will be revealed. Where the place is called, “the Room of Treasures”. It is
believe that the origin of the very first gemstone is from the cavern in the Dunhuang cave.
“We must go there, perhaps we may have a chance to obtain treasures in the ruins of the
Silk Road,” said by Trevor, the most adventurous explorer and archeologist in the world.”If I have
succeed in finding the Room of Treasures, we are definitely rich! This matters with our destiny,
I’m sure it worth a try. You are supporting me, right?”
“It indeed is going to change our fates and lives, but there’s no turning back once you have
got there. I think you should understand how disastrous and dangerous the environment is in the
desert?” reminded by Natasha, Trevor’s wife and partner. “Remember, threats are around every
corner. Are you sure about it?”
“Of course I’m sure, think about the treasures we are going to get darling. Once we have
acquired and conquered all the valuable goodies, we must have the power to get everything. Soon
we will become the most powerful couples in the world!”Trevor exclaims ambitiously.”Right, we
just need a few companions so that they can help us during the journey to our success. Relax, we
are proficient explorers and nobody has still known this legend yet except for us. “
Bounded by mountains, standing on the spacious desert. Sands and soil expanse as far as
their can see, heat and thirst wreathe the gang of explorers, they can feel nothing but exhaustion
and sweat. Hours have gone by, still uncertain about the route to their destination. Trevor and his
companions walk step by step and hours by hours.
“You sure about the way to go? We have walked for six hours and we couldn’t even see a single
plant or stone, not to mention a cave or road,” questioned by one of the teammate doubted. “Look at
your map, Trevor. It’s ambiguous and shabby. Will it really lead you to your destined place?”
“Are you questioning me or what? Perhaps everybody is run-down, bring in the tents and
food, we are resting here tonight.” he replied in a certain voice.
After a long series of work, it seems they have settled down themselves and ready for the
night. In the blink of an eye, it is the evening of the first day. The climate is appealing and
comfortable, it comes right before a long period of fever and warmth. Breezes blown calmly, weak
rays of sunshine shown from the setting sun. They make dunes of sand golden and glittering,
