obvious that the wire was connected with tons of landmines which were buried underneath to
bloody floor. Total shock filled his body, at the same time he was heartbroken, because he knew
what Gobi was going to do. But without armors or weapons, he could go no further to stop the
soldiers from lighting up the wire and blew up the whole village.
Gobi flew as fast as he can and dived towards the soldier who tried to activate all the
landmines. But Gobi was too late. Everything was too late. The landmines were burning and all
mountains, valleys and rivers were ripped apart and gave out a dreadful moan a hundred times
louder than a thunder striking across the sky. Extremely explosive landmines burst and the whole
village was shattered into dry, lifeless sand.
Luckily, some villagers managed to escape before the booming started, and they moved to
another place to live and were free from the attack of the Darkwood tribe forever. The man was
able to pick himself up and joined the villagers with his crime forgiven. After that, the man had
searched through all over the land to find Gobi but Gobi had never shown up since then. Nothing
was left for the man, but only memories with a few missing parts and an empty heart without his
best friend.
After a hundred years, the Desert was named as the Gobi Desert and fulfilled the man’s last
wish by his further generation. Until now, no one can tell if it is really the sound of the violent
wind, or the distant roar of Gobi the Dragon.
