e, the Chinese government, once again wish to express our deepest disappointment
towards the Japanese intrusion of our homeland. It is completely nonsense for
Japan to declare sovereignty over the DiaoYu Islands, which have long been
recognized as a part of China throughout written history…,”
“Sir, Coastal Defense has reported 3 Chinese remote fighters flying above the Sendukus at
noon, their commander requests further instructions from you,” the man in the frameless glasses
reported to his boss. Meanwhile, the big LED screen at the front part of the rectangular room was
still broadcasting the speech of the Chinese government’s representative.
There was a moment of silence in the room. The president seemed to be enjoying his first
cigar, the smoke was choking but the man simply could not cough, nor make a little move.
He remained standing straight, facing his boss in the navy suit. This was one of the toughest
challenges of being the president’s secretary. “Tell ‘em to hold position.” The president replied,
unbothered by the news. He looked extraordinarily calm and was playing with the pendulum on
his desk, while misty smokes continuously came out from his nostrils.
“Relax, Honda,” the corners of his mouth ascended into a mysterious smile. His man remained
alert, forcing a robotic smile in reply. “Son, we dun need to mess with the Chinese with bullets
and missiles. We can easily bury the whole of China with sands using our intelligence. I always
like to fight elegantly, this is what I taught you when we were playing Judo. Come, be seated and
take a sip of this Sake. I’ll have things in control hahaha…”
The Gobi is located in the northern part of today’s China. Due to unknown reasons, it has
become seriously deserted and the desert part of the region together contributes to an area of
1,300,000 km3 of the whole country. Geologists in the territory have been working very hard to
analyze the surrounding environment to try to figure out which factor is promoting the rapid
increase of the desert area. However, still, until this very moment, there have been no major
findings in spite of numerous resources and cash which have been invested for research on this
topic. Not realizing the archaeological aspect of the desert, the Chinese seem to be hopelessly
trying to unveil the truth of the matter…

“Hunter 2-1 in position, ready to carry out the search, over,” the man in a camo suit spoke into
the mic attached to his cap. He wore an identical suit as the other men in his team: Khaki cap,
sunglasses, camo shirt, multifunctional pants and outdoor boots. To outsiders they were nobody
but tourists coming to the Gobi desert for adventures. The place was famous for its diversity of
ecosystems as well as its natural beauty. Explorers were always enthusiastic to invade the sands.
There had been uncountable stories of failures, in which the less fortunate ones had themselves
buried in the place or became dinners for the leopards. For these men in camo, it was understood
that they had no choice of retreating, once they had received an order from the authority, ever
since they entered the military.
“Solid copy Hunter 2-1. Good luck with your search and maintain radio silence until you’ve
located the target. Be advised, the president will deny everything as usual according to the
protocol in case you are compromised. Shadow out.”
