order!” Reluctantly, Danny ran. Finally, he reached the shore, jumped in the river, and approached one of
the dolphins swimming about. “It won’t hurt,” he muttered to the dolphin, hoping it would help. Gently,
he extracted the blood, then dashed back to re-join his comrades. They were barely managing to keep the
Kraka at bay. He touched Hallman’s shoulder. The others reached to touch him as well. The blinding light
engulfed them once again.

The commander rushed to the aerodrome, hopped into a jet, and then set course to the sky crater.
He knew he might not make it back, but his country was worth more than his life. It was better to die in
glory than live in humiliation. “Kraka, here I come,” he thought. He then landed in the launch bay of the
mothership. He silently snuck off the bay, bolting towards the core. He reached the innermost sanctuary.
“So this is the core,” he thought. It was a sleek cocoon, pulsating with veins. The battle-worn commander
took out the syringe of blood. Suddenly, he was knocked down, half-conscious. “You thought you could
stop us, did you?” hissed the Kraka. “Say your last words, worthless human.” “Just one word: DIE!”
Hallman whispered as he reached over and injected the red liquid into the cocoon.
Hundreds of eyes were staring at the huge fire in the sky. Henry emerged from his shelter just as the crater
began to close. “He did it… he actually did it….” He faced the soldiers. “We’re free!” The army erupted in
cheers.
