Fiction: Group 2
The image dissipated and ghoulish sand dunes rose into a storm of fears. Every fear known to man
or animal entered the two boys’ minds, yet they continued to resist. The desire to return home to their
families was stronger than any fear. The tormentors of darkness started to weaken as the raging storm passed
through. As an eerie silence descended on the desert, an oversized door creaked open before them.
“Finally…” sighed Tasuku and Jack.
Everything turned into a world of shadowy mystery when they passed through the doors. Portal
hoops shimmered everywhere. Shadows soared out of hoops. Faces, feelings, places assaulted them from
every direction. Distortion affected every unit of time, mingling spaces across ages together.
“This is crazy, Zin! We challenge you to a battle!” announced Tasuku.
“Prepare to meet your end! I accept the challenge!” Zin hollered back. “I activate the Distortion
Sealer!” screamed Tasuku.
The card covered the boys young bodies in shining armor. Black swords appeared in their hands.
“Let’s get him!” roared Jack. They leaped through the gloomy shadows and charged at Zin. He tried to
summon a portal, but got a surprising slash in the chest. The portal shattered into pieces.
“I activate the ultimate impact attack, SWORD OF THE END, DISTORTION PUNISHER!”
screamed Tasuku in rage. A gigantic black blade materialized in his hand. It crashed forcefully on Zin.
Suddenly, the shadowy world shattered.
They found themselves standing in front of Ms Hoops’s desk. “Weird…” said Tasuku and Jack in
unison. Just then she entered the classroom. “Let me see your project.” The bottle was no longer there. A
shiny diorama of a new Hong Kong had replaced it. “Quite amazing!” The teacher seemed genuinely
pleased.
“Guess this is how this ends?” asked Jack.
“Maybe or maybe not…” replied Tasuku as he flashed the green bottle in and out of his pocket.
