Fiction: Group 2
“Help!” I shrieked. I could hear my voice breaking in squeaks and clicks.
The pain rose through my body flooding my brain.
The workers had no reason to do this. Why
kill white dolphins? Why? It makes no sense!
Soon my species will become extinct, and it’s only their fault.
Those moronic fools, all they cared about was doing an experiment. I was never so hopeless and helpless.
The machine stopped, and I began to sink deep into the river. I stared at the waves weakly. My memories
seemed to shrivel up. There was no way I could keep my hope up any longer. I realized that Abby was right
after all. The machine was unstoppable. I had already failed twice, so I had to give up. I closed my eyes
gently, taking a last look at the bright blue sky.
