The Tale of Liang Liang The Dolphin

nce, there was a five and a half year old dolphin, called Liang Liang. Liang Liang is a grey
skinned dolphin, and is 1.5 meters long. Now, this little dolphin is no ordinary dolphin, although
she is young, she is also very, very, smart. Liang Liang is the smartest in her class, and is in year
two, and goes to a school called “Ms. Chun’s Dolphin Primary School For Girls”. She boards there, and has
five roommates and the roommates are called Maya, Jessica, Ming Ming, Li Li and Vanessa. She has another
friend called WeiWei who is also a student at her school. But Liang Liang was a dolphin with a bad life
now. Xiao Re Tou, is a bad governor. He has agreed with other rulers that they shall build a bridge, over
the Pearl River Delta. The Pearl River Delta starts off near the

Chinese White Dolphins originally lived there. Liang Liang and Wei Wei went to tell ma ma and ba ba
about what they saw. They saw eight scuba-divers with drills for the pylons. They found it
very
annoying
and noisy, especially when they want to have a rest, they have to listen to drilling the whole time.
When their mum and dad heard everything, their face turned bright red. They were so furious they began
to swim around in circles to calm down. Then a boat came along and straight after it stopped, it put its
anchor down, and the anchor hit Liang Liang’s tail! She got trapped and couldn’t move! She started crying,
and Wei Wei went to tell everyone… but it didn’t work. He went to find a vet, and they came rushing
over. The vet was called JJ. Actually JJ is a girl, and is pink coloured. She is 29 years old. She says, “Because
we are near shore, the people on the beach and the boat should be able to see us.” said JJ
Then as soon as JJ stopped talking, another boat came over. This was a eco-friendly speedboat. It stopped,
and saw that Liang Liang was trapped! He got out his phone, and called the HKMA (Hong Kong Marine
Association). Then shouted to the other boat “Hey you! Your anchor is trapped on a dolphin! Lift it
up NOW! I’ll call the Marine Police! You don’t want that to happen, do you!?”
But it didn’t work. The guys just ignored him, and went back to playing on their phones.
8 minutes later, a speedboat came zooming across, and some scuba divers dived in. They had a stretcher for
the dolphin. First they have to take off the anchor, and lifted her up to the boat. She made a sound like a
tweety bird. Then the speed boat zoomed off again. Then Jessica came swimming over. “I finished
swimmi-…Where’s Liang Liang?”
“Her tail got trapped in an anchor of a boat.” said JJ
“No. That can't have happened!”
“Yep. Pretty sad.”
“Will she survive?” asked ma ma
“I don’t know. It depends how major it.”
Then Ming Ming started to pray “ Please, say she survives”
“Yes. Definitely.” they all said.
“Maya, do you want to go home now, and tell ma ma and pa pa what happened?”
“Sure”
Maya is Jessica's little sister. She is black and is 3 years old. She goes to the same school as Liang Liang and
the others. Except, she is in reception, and her teacher is called Ms. Alexandra. Ms. Alexandra has been
teaching reception for 9 years.
The next day, everyone went to school. Liang Liang of course was at the HKMA, with her tail. The people
who worked there, were examining her tail. Then Dr. Haskett said “We need to keep her here for at least
three years. Her tail has a HUGE hole in it.”
