Fiction: Group 2
Chloe, Millie, Vanessa, Jade and Macey left Charlie and were making their way back to their boat. At the
same time Pearl and Sparkle were swimming in the river.
Splash! The pirates got wet from the dolphins’ tails hitting the water and they met the dolphins for the first
time.
“So you must be the dolphins we saw when we were on top of the mountain,” Macey said.
The pirates agreed to help the dolphins stop the pollution coming from Charlie’s factory into the Pearl
River Delta.
So the dolphins went back into the cave to be safe and to have a rest. Meanwhile the pirates went back to
their ship to sleep for the night before the big day when they would cause problems for Charlie and his
polluting factory.
The pirates and the dolphins woke up bright and early, ready for the day ahead. They had found a boat
which was medium in size and brown in colour. They sailed it along the river until they found a jetty near
Charlie’s house which was up in a mountain.
“Charlie!” Jade called out.
Charlie did not answer because he was still sleeping.
“Charlieeeeee,” the pirates yelled out together.
Finally Charlie came down the mountain to see what the pirates wanted.
“What is it?” he asked.
“We need you to come down for a minute as there is someone to see you,” Macey said.
“You could have knocked on my door next time,” Charlie said.
Millie whispered to the other pirates: “We won’t see you next time.”
Charlie came down and climbed onto the boat.
“Who wants to see me?” Charlie asked.
“In the cabin,” said Jade.
Once Charlie went into the cabin, the pirates locked him in.
“We are going to teach you a lesson once and for all,” the pirates said.
The girls then pushed the boat into the river and set it on course to go far, far away so that Charlie could
not run his polluting factory anymore.
The dolphins, Sparkle and Pearl, were so happy they splashed their tails in the water. They were going to
live long and healthy lives free from the pollution. Over time, the water in the river would get clean and
attract more fish and sea animals.
The pirate girls were also very pleased that Charlie had been sent away. They climbed into their own boat
and looked forward to sailing in clean waters.
