New Tales of the Pearl River Delta

n 2013A.C, there was a detective called Grover, He is under an authorization from a mystery detective
group called H-Spy. The job of this spy group is to find the secret things about some history mysteries,
old myths and why the place or places will be called like that. His quest for these nine days is Why
Pearl
River Delta is called
Pearl River Delta. The hint for him is Harbour length. He went on a trip from
England to the Pearl River Delta. The main cities in Pearl River Delta include Guangzhou, Macau,
Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Hong Kong, Dongguan and many more.
First day, he went to Guangzhou. He looked for the traditional food like Kung Fu tea, fried cockroach,
Dim Sum and special places like Canton tower, Sacred Heart Cathedral(also known as Stone House),
Yuexiu Park. In the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Grover discovered that the site of cathedral was originally the
residence of Viceroy of Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces, in the Qing Dynasty and during the Second
Opium War, the residence was completely destroyed! Construction of the foundation started in 28th of
June, 1861.
After visiting the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Grover decided to buy a map Pearl River Delta then visit the
harbour of Guangzhou to end his trip of Guangzhou. Grover rode on the bus to the Port of Guangzhou. He
found that the port was about 320km long with 108km to be developed. He rode on a taxi to The Phoenix
City Hotel to checked-in. Although it was beautiful there, but he got no time to admire, he needed to
book the bus to Hong Kong on tomorrow’s morning at 10am in Yuexiu South Bus Station.
After a good sleep, Grover ate the breakfast, and then he checked-out. He rode on a taxi again to the
Yuexiu South Bus Station. He was very lucky, the bus came when he came .Grover quickly jump in to the
bus. Grover started his next place in The Pearl River Delta.
After 2 hours, Grover arrived Hong Kong’s New Territories and then Grover gets on a bus to Tuen Mun
Town Plaza, he watched a movie called The Hobbits
,
The Battle of the Five Armies. After a great movie,
Grover rode on a bus to The Elements, then he went on an elevator to Sky 100.When He got to the top,
He saw a beautiful sight of Hong Kong. “It was really great!” Grover thought. After a great sight, is time for
some good food. Grover went to Mong Kok by bus. After the bus trip, He ran to the street very quick
because there were extremely absolutely fabulously many delicious snacks like Curry Fish Balls, Pork
Dumpling, Mini Egg Puffs and many more. He bought them all at once and he wolfed down all the snacks
in 6 minutes! Grover knew that he got not much time left, so he rode on MTR to the Victoria Harbour.
He measured the length of the harbour’s length, the length of the harbour is41.88km! Grover wore his own
diving suit and jump down to the big sea to go to Macau…
“F…F…Finally” said Grover, huffing and puffing. He climbed on a turbojet after a few minutes, Grover
first went to Ruins of St. Paul’s, and it was very magnificent sight. Grover took many pictures, than he
decided to go Macau Museum, the Macau Museum was located within the Mount Fortress. It provides a
detailed explanation about the origin and development of Macau and also preserves the cultural traditions,
usages and habits of Macau itself. Grover suddenly got caught by someone, and then everything goes black.
Grover found himself in a room, he walked to the windows and he knew that he was in the Venetian
Macao Casino & Resort Hotel. Venetian Macao Casino & Resort Hotel is the largest casino complex in the
world with the combination of facilities, attractions and amenities. The casino itself is divided into four
themed gaming areas: Golden Fish, Imperial House, Red Dragon and Phoenix. Besides gambling, there is a
“Venice themed” shopping area called The Grand Canal shops where you can enjoy over 350 international
shops shopping, wandering around some great restaurants, bars and cafes and take a beautifully crafted
Venetian gondola ride. Grover first escaped from this area, then, he ran to the get a taxi to the harbour and
measures the length of it .Suddenly, he got a feeling just like he woke up from a beautiful dream, he said to
the special phone connected to the center and said “I know it!” He quickly ran to the airport. But the Jesus
didn’t help him, the weather went bad .Thunder storms, heavy rain …so he needed to buy a car and drive
(he got a national car license) to the bridge that connects the Pearl River Delta, then he drove to Hong
Kong, hoping for better weather, but Zeus didn’t help him too. There was a typhoon signal number10 over
there! So Grover drove to Guangdong, hoping for the same thing, and he got the same result. The weather
